Christine Salem (vocals, kayamb), Deborah Herbert (vocals) \u2013 Harry P\u00e9rigone and Z\u00e9lito D\u00e9liron (percussions). The Amadeus choir directed by Lydie G\u00e9raud \u2013 Lolita Terg\u00e9mina (vocals and scenography).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Jean-Pierre Jos\u00e9phine called Joz\u00e9finn\u2019<\/h3>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"taille-initiale alignright wp-image-7419 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.portail-esclavage-reunion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/jean_pierre_jozefin-004-e1639459539344.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the specific atmosphere of the museum site, by the lithograph portrait \u2018C\u00e9lim\u00e8ne with guitar\u2019, conserved at the de Vill\u00e8le Museum, and in homage to the musician (1807-1864), Josefinn\u2019 proposes original compositions, as well as an arrangement of seminal Reunionese music.<\/p>\n<p>In his creation, the musician evokes at the same time the site of the museum, the inhabitants and the natural environment of Saint-Gilles-les-Hauts, his birthplace. From popular culture to Indian Ocean creation. The acoustic guitar of Josefinn\u2019 will be accompanied by percussions, the timbila of Matchum Zango from Mozambique, and Bongani Sotshononda from South Africa on the marimba.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Max Boyer-Va\u00eftilingom<\/h3>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-7429 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.portail-esclavage-reunion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/max-vaitilingom-e1639460099384.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After taking part in memorial projects linked to the history of slavery around the world, the artist will devote his residency to coproducing a pictorial fresco and a sculpture around the topic of intergenerational transmission of the memory of slavery.<\/p>\n<p>The de Vill\u00e8le primary school will welcome this residency, involving pupils, teachers, staff and parents.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Maxwell Southgate, known as MAK1ONE<br \/>\nExtramural creative residency<\/h3>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.portail-esclavage-reunion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/poster_mak1one.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-7441 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.portail-esclavage-reunion.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/poster_mak1one-e1639460169734.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"438\" \/><\/a>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pioneer of street art in South Africa for the last 30 years, recognised as one of the founders of the movement, MAK1ONE will perform in the Moraingy arena in Saint-Gilles-les-Hauts. This residency has been made possible thanks to a number of partners: the De Vill\u00e8le Museum, the town hall of Saint-Paul, the Reunion Moringue committee, the Kan Vill\u00e8le Association and the NGO Baz Art (Cape Town).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Born in a South African township, MAK1ONE experienced the periods of apartheid and post-apartheid. His ascendants were Bushmen and Khoi-san.
